Litigation Legal Secretary
Location: San Francisco, CA
Our client, a well-established law firm in San Francisco, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a busy civil litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to attorneys in civil litigation matters
- Draft, edit, and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Manage court filings (state and federal), including e-filing and service
- Maintain attorney calendars and track critical deadlines
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, and client meetings
- Prepare and organize case files, exhibits, and trial materials
- Handle time entry, billing support, and general administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of civil litigation legal secretary experience 100% required for this role
- Strong knowledge of California court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems
- Proficiency with legal document formatting, TOC/TOA preparation preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
